Default abs help

Ok so I tested ABS on dry road still not working ??? I read somewhere to take sending units off and clean with Carb and brake cleaner. Ok I will get on that but what if its not that I have No light on? ?? But if I slam brakes I skid

Sorry 99 silverado 1500 5.3L

I cleaned my sensors and then replaced them and it did not fix the problem.

not much guidance to give without seeing and touching the truck or having codes, if theres no signs of something failing but they don't work you basically have to go through every part of the system
