AC drain clog - '99 Siverado

Yes, it's the infamous AC drain clog. Water leaks on the passenger floor after condensation builds up and leaks out of unit. Removed the little rubber elbow form the drain tube. Inserted various cords, wires, rods and such in hopes of unclogging it. Hmm, it must be clogged somewhere upriver, I figured. Removed the lower dash of passenger side to get a good look at it. A monstrosity of a unit. I put back the dash as it looked too daunting a task for Saturday afternoon exploration? Anyone have any ideas? I thought of using the yard hose to push some water up the drain in the hope of dislodgin' the blockage. BTW, the drain does "drip" a small amount, but normally would trickle especially with warm humid New Orleans weather.
I would appreciate any feedback,

Use a vacume conect it to the drain on the outside of the truck.....If you have to turn the truck on let it build up sum condensation........Suck it out..Works great!!
