Default add ons for 1999 silverado ext cab

Hi i just recently bought a 99 silverado with 57k miles and am looking to add some things on to it to help out the performance and looks. I just put in two 6 inch 2way pioneer speakers. I was wondering also if anyone knows anything about level kits for this model or cheap places to get a K&N intake.
Thanks,
Conor

k&n intake is gonna cost you about 300 bucks wherever you go even ebay ive checked. is your truck 4 wheel or two wheel drive? if its 4x4 i would lift it best way to improve your looks!! i would also go with a perfromance exhaust!!

Lifting it is great but it's gonna cost you THOUSANDS to do it right. DO NOT take the cheap way out when lifting your truck. Do it wrong, and it will cost you twice as much to fix it and make your ride miserable. Simple and relatively inexpensive performance mods include the K&N filter/intake, electric fans to replace the stock fan assembly, brush guards, tires and rims, exhaust, improved/additional lighting, shocks, and maybe a performance chip.

looks- depends on how high you want to go. I didn't wanna go too high cause around here the ones who lift their trucks beyond 6" usually have something they're trying to make up for if you catch my drift. but i went with a levelin kit and 33x12.5x20s and i get compliments all the time. Definitely debadge it and get some colormatching in there..billet grille will help out too.

performance- I went with a volant cai, wanted a box instead of a heatshield and then i put a k&n filter on it, im ordering electric fans this week, get an exhaust of some sort(just whatever sounds good to you), and get a tune, not a programmer

honestly,I just got a 97 1500. its black ext cab, with the stock 16s painted black. the only other thing is the tires are 285/75r/16s instead of the stock 245s, and it looks beefy with just that. definitely go with a little bigger tires that always helps. as far as exhaust, flowmaster all the way.
