Air bag light and impact sensors
Hello,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
I have a 2005 Silverado and my air bag light has come on at 75,000 miles. If your air bag light is on know there are numerous GM vehicles from 2003 to 2011 that have this same problem (usually caused by malfunctioning front impact sensor-$100 part). Owners are paying (from my online research) $100 to $2000 to repair this issue. The problem is a manufacturers major *safety* issue. I called the GM customer service department with no resolve. The only way the Department of Transportation will have GM resolve this issue at "no cost to us" is to file a complaint through DOT. I have provided the link here for you. <o></o>
