Default any answers on tpms re-set

I've seen posts about the same issue that I'm having which is after rotating the tires I have tried to relearn the tire positions manually following the steps layed out in the owners manual. Has anyone had any success with this or does it require a trip to the dealer? Also does cold weather play a part in the sensors working properly.

Default RE: any answers on tpms re-set

I went to Discount tire last week for my first balance and rotation, and a couple of days later, I started getting "check right rear tire pressure", etc........ I took it back up to Discount tire, and they didnt re-set the tires after rotation. The tech had a handheld monitor in his hand, and after holding the "Re-Learn Tire Position", he had to go around the vehicle and hold the monitor up to each tire at the valve stem in order to reset all 4 tires..... Worked like a charm!
