Default any fuel pump guys here?

The truck has what seems to be a dead spot in the fuel pump. We have a pump module assy from a 97 s10, any way to salvage it?

FWIW I have never heard of anybody attempting to salvage 1.
If they go out you just replace it. It may be possible to fix but
Not sure it is worth it.

I've tried researching, evidently some have replaced just pump/installing a Walbro pump. seems doable...I would try to just swap the pumps. It also seems to me that the difference in models might just be the overall height of the whole module? Don't really know since we haven't started working on the pump removal yet.iirc the plastic tubes are like super-melted on to nipples.

best to replace the whole thing, how much is it to tow a truck 30 miles in your area? add that to the amount of money you were planning to spend on the truck for the part and buy a brand new pump and you will be ahead of the learning curve

going to monitor for further diagnostics. installed another relay and rigged a jumper for FP testlead underhood to isolate fault...
People fab walbro pumps in these modules often and they also advertise repair kits w/pumps so it certainly is feasible, not to mention the fact I have a BN a/c delco pump I'm not using...

Fuel pumps are not something I would go with used. If they were easier to replace it may be different.
