Default back up lights

my backup lights dont work my bulbs are new fuses are good what else could this be?

the switch that goes into ur transmission. mine do that too and ive got the switch just havent gotten around to changin it out

I recommend changing the reverse indicator switch on the trans and also the circuit boards that the bulbs plug into (they are cheap).

if were talkin about the same thing all u need is a ratchet and like a 1 inch socket i think. it should be on the drivers side of the trans with a plug comin out of it

Check your ground wire back there, but more than likely, none of your rear lites would work if it was loose. If it's a separate ground, or it's connected to trailer lites it could be bad.

yeah if someone didnt know what they were doin when they wired a trailer harness that could be it. i got pulled over in my 89 for NO tailights at all...someone muffed that thing up hxc

I fixed it!! It was the backup switch on the drivers side of the transmission!
