I have a 2006 extended cab and I was wondering the same thing. I would imagine they would both take the same size. I hope you get a reply. I dont really want any scraping when I would turn.

On my 2006 2500 4X4 crew cab the largest tire that would fit was a 31.5" tire. That'sa 285/60 with an 18" rim. It's possible that going with a thinner tire (less than 285) could give you another half an inch or so.Rim diameter doesn't make any difference, it's the overall diameter of the tire that matters.Even though it looks like there's a lot of room in the wheel well, when you turn the wheels all the way the bottom edge of the wheel well will grind on a bigger tire. Blame Chevy for the crappy design - Most other brand of truckscan run a bigger tire. With the new Chevy's you have to install a lift kit to do so.
