Default bose subwoofer?

I've got a 2004 silverado with a bose stereo. I was wondering if anyone knew if the 2004 models had a subwoofer in the console, before i tear it apart. If so, is it easy to replace?

You can buy a line output converter specificaly for the trucks with the bose system at www.logjamelectronics.com and then run a seperate amp and box under your rear seat. Thats what I did. Sounds the best. Box for our trucks can be purchased at www.subthump.com Great quality. Theres a thread about boxes in the audio section with some pictures of one of the members installs, check it out. You have to you a relativley shallow subwoofer though. Pioneer Premier makes a shallow mount and so does Rockford Fosgate. I went with the Fosgate Punch Stage 3 shallow mount DVC 4 ohm. You can get it at www.crutchfield.com Take note of the boxes mounting depth and get a subwoofer that will fit depth wise. Also take note of the boxes required air space, and find a woofer that works in that range. The boxes at subthump provide you with that information and most subwoofers will provide you with that under specifications.
