Default brake lights not working

I changed the bulbs, switch, checked all fuses, turn signals work, tail lights work just no brake lights on my 1999 sierra v6 truck

Could be the brake switch behind the brake pedal. I'm thinking you would have problems coming out of park, unless you have a stick shift.
