Default Burning Oil

I have a 2000 GMC Sierra SLT Z71. It has a 5.3 Litre V8 and it is starting to have some problems. It is burning a fair amount of oil as well as engine coolant. It easy leaking on the ground anywhere, the oil isn't turning brown, and it doesn't smoke. What could this be the result of? I was thinking it might be the intake or a head gasget, but shouldn't that make it smoke? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
