Default Buying a new truck

Looking for a new truck the dealer was trying to sell me a chevy 1500 wt2 crew cab 4x4 for 41000can thing is on the chevy website I get it for around 36000 with their cash credit reducing it by 4000, wondering what the cash credit is and is the dealer screwing with me.

the dealer quoted me 41000, the website said 40000 minus a 4000 dollar cash credit, not sure what that is. Also what would be a good price for that truck brand new, people are telling me that is really high for a WT2 truck, I got him down to 40,000 today and he is throwing in a spray in bed liner, he said its a fleet truck that got canceled, has just standard stuff in it no leather no sun roof but it does come with all terrain tires and after market shocks.

Still sounds high to me for a WT2. They are advertising 5.3L V8, LS extended cab 4x4 Z71 long bed trucks here for $36,000 out the door.

Check Kelley Blue Book ( Official Kelley Blue Book New Car and Used Car Prices and Values ) or True Car ( TrueCar ) to see what a 'good' price would be and what others are paying for the same vehicle.

Good luck!!
