I have an 04Chevrolet pickup that threw me a curve this afternoon. I had a service engine light for a faulty gas cap. I replaced the cap a few days ago and had not reset the computer until today. The problem started after I disconnected and reconnected the negative battery cable. The A/C would only blow through the defrost vents. I am confused on how reseting the computer did that.

Drive the truck around for about 30-40 miles and let the adaptive computer relearn everything. You have to do this everytime you reset the computer or things act up. I was told this by a Chevy mechanic. Might fix the problem. If not, I dunno man.
