Default Changing rear pads

Hello there,

I am in the process of changing the rear pads on my 2002 Siverado 1500 4 wheel drive pick up. I see where you can back out a 12mm bolt on the caliper one high and one lowthat should let you remove it and replace the pads but all it is doing is spinning and not backing out. Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?? Thank you in advance for any help that you may offer.

Default RE: Changing rear pads

Figured it out for those that want to know. The 12 mm bolt is the correct one to remove but if you look closely at what appears to be a bushing between the bolt head and the caliper you will see two flat spots on it that you can get a wrench on. I use a pair of needle nose vise grips. Clamp on to it and then back out the 12 mm bolt and the whole thing comes apart easily. These are actually easier to change then the fronts.
