Default Cherry Bomb Turbo Muffler

So what do yall think of the above mentioned muffler. I was thinking about getting one and puttin it on my truck. I would put it about a foot or two in front of where the stock muffler is. It would have a turndown and be dumped pretty much three feet or so in front of the axle. I have a single 3-inch exhaust. No cat. Would this sound good? I've never heard the sound of a cherrybomb turbo muffler before. I want to be able to hear the exhaust but I don't want an annoying drone in the cab. I would have gotten the thrush welded or a flowmaster but I'm afraid of drone, since the muffler won't be far from the cab. I'm doin the work myself. I have a welder and did the cat removal myself. Plus the muffler was only 30-something bucks.

Yeah.
It'll sound better with a full pipe though.

Have you heard one of these before? I used to have a dynomax superturbo on my blazer and I am hoping this one is a little louder than it was. I mainly will be dumping it till I get the money to get a muffler shop to do the tailpipe routing and all.

I used to have them on the Camaro and Silverado. P/O was my dad, and he changed them to Flowmasters.

What were they like compared to the flowmasters? I have a friend with the 40 series so I can do a little comparison. Half as loud?

About the same. A little less tone. Just as loud.
The FMs sounds WAY better than the turbos on the Camaro.
The FMs sound about the same on the Silverado.

Alright thanks. I just ordered one on jegs. Kinda hard to pass up the price if it sounds almost the same as flowmaster. FM's are like 3X the price. Keep up the great work Mr. Mod Man.

An aftermarket is exhaust is more or less gonna sound good (as compared to stock) no matter what kind of muffler you put on. If you put on a glasspack, it certainly will sound different than a chambered. As far as how they sounded on my Silverado, good. The Flowmaster definately are a little less deep with a little more tone.
Honestly, one of the worst exhaust systems I have ever heard on an injected 5.7 was a Borla. It also happens to be one of the most expensive.
