Default chev 1500 afm question

I have a new 2010 1500. The truck drops to 4 cyl within 2 seconds of taking foot of gas pedal. This happens at any speed 5 to 5 mph and I can feel it rvery tine. Is this normal?

DDeFant, it shows in your owners manual that at any time when less power is required the active fuel management system will activate to save fuel. If more power is needed it will re activate to give you the full power of the engine. There is information on this feature in section 3 page 27. I hope that helps you.
