Default Chevy 1500 custom pros cons

Hello! I love my Chevy trucks, and am on my 4th one. I currently have an 2008 Avalanche LTZ, which I love. I am getting close to the 300k miles ( always drive my trucks to high miles lol) and recently had to replace the tranny, and now have to replace the radiator. I do love my truck but I think it may be time soon for a new one. I have been checking out a few and so far am liking the Custom. ( I will miss the moonroof though) I wanted to hear from owners. What do you like and dont like? Any recommendations? Whats your mpg like? Can anyone use E85 gas?

I am also researching online, but always great to hear from actual experience!

Welcome from Florida. Are you looking to buy a new truck or a used one?

Welcome from WA; if you love your ride and keeping after maintenance, continue to drive it! How's the motor doing?

Hi! So far so good, just seems i have been having more and more issues since Nov. Small things as first then much bigger things. I would love to keep my avalanche for a while longer, but really need the reliability and getting so close to 300k, i know more and more will happen.

So we did this when our 05 Sub, started burning oil after 200k and going to the shop more often. Got a new 2020 Tahoe - under 60k and have already had a right front hub failure and a water pump failure that led to a tow as it was not driveable. And I continue to happily chug along in our 93 Sub with 360k!
