Just what I heard, but on 07 and up you need a dry filter....not an oiled one....again just what I heard...not sure if its true. It could be just for the FFV's too.

The parts folks tell me that the oiled ones will work out of the box, but its when they are cleaned and re-oiled that things go south... too much oil and it contaminates the MAF....

Wouldn't waste to much money on one. Get a airaid MIT kit with the filter ad call it done. It replaces the tube and filter. That's it. The stock box is actually very good, the tube is the restriction.

Agreed, MIT or the JR kit is all you really need.
I have a JR kit and it's really nice.If you don't over oil the filter after cleaning there shouldn't be any problems.
Usually many years before it needs to be cleaned anyway.Dry filters are also available.
