Ok, so I have a Chevy Silverado but lately I've been having a problem with it. I'll try to explain it as best as I can. When I go to start it up, it cranks, completely stops (no noise) for around a second and then starts right up. It feels like if you turn the key to start it up, let it go and start it up again. This only happens on the first start it in the morning. The truck's an 04 Silverado 1500 5.3l with 86,xxx miles. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Probably the check valve in the fuel pump assembly is bad. It lets the gas drain back into the tank when the truck sits for a long period of time. You can change the fuel pump or add a check valve in the fuel line.
