disabling auto door locks on '13 silverado
Hi I actually have a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500, but it's all the same right.
Trying to figure out how to permanently disable the automatic door locking feature (when you put it into gear OR at 15 mph whichever option is chosen)
Any insight on how to get this done?
If i replaced the factory radio with an Alpine ive w530, or similar, and then get a PAC pack module ( pac-audio.com ) ( C2R-GM29 for $120 ) ..... Can it give me different control options regarding auto door locks, seat belt chime and so on
Otherwise, is there any sort of device, or anything, that i can have installed that will allow me to shut off door locks, etc ?
Alternatively, what if a PAC (or whatever brand) pack module is never installed ? Will i lose anything essential? If there's a Thread on all this already ( i'm hoping there is ) please LINK, 'cause i didn't find it.
thanks

to be nice to my fellow GM truck owners, i'll give the conclusion here to all this.
the Service Bulletin for this is PIT3189Q
it Can Not be done in the DIC
You have to take it to the dealership, to have them reprogram the BCM
It costs the dealership $50 to get the code for your vehicle's VIN
HIghly Worth it. The loud CLANK! sound of the auto door locks, everytime is not cool
