Default drop that lift

i have a 2005 silverado 2500hd with a skyjacker 6in lift. im trying to drop the lift to a 2-3in so i tow my race trailer better so im not breaking stuff. what would be my best bet in doing this???

probably just take it off, sell it and get a different lift, or if you're only wanting 2-3 inches a leveling kit will do they trick. but it'll ride stiffer

This isn't making sense. Can't you just buy a receiver hitch that drops 4 inches?
