Default Engine light stays on

Where is the PCV valve located on a 2005 chevy silverado? My engine light stays on reduce power comes on, then i shut the truck off and it comes off but the engine light still remains on and fuel smells rich? Any help is greatly appreciated. I've already replaced the throtle body/ pedal accelerator sensor. But now 10,000 miles later my engine light came on again. So, trying to stay small, by starting at the PCV.

take it to autozone, they can read the problem codes for you so you know what is going on.

if you don't know what the cel code is then you will be taking a wild shot in the dark. It could be anything. Take it to autozone or advance and have them pull the code(s) for you. Then come back and post them here and I can help you out. But don't start replacing things without even knowing what the code is.

In my 14 years of working on cars I have yet to see a PCV valve turn on a check engine light. Without knowing the code I doubt you will fix it, unless you are extremely lucky. It would be like winning the lottery (almost impossible). You might as well open the toilet, throw some money in and flush.

lol good point mdtahoe. might not have to flush too much money if you take it to the autozone or where ever and have them pull the code and tell us what it is
