Default Erratic Alternator Gauge on 2010 Silverado

I have a 2010 Silverado Z71 4x4. Since I purchased the truck last year, the alternator gauge has been showing readings of 13 volts to 14 volts, but never consistant. I might be driving down the highway and it'll read 14 volts. Next time I look at the gauge, it might read 13 volts.

Has anyone had this problem with their gauge?

Thanks

Yes they can be erratic. If you are not having any problems with the batt getting low its probably OK. You could have your alt tested at most parts stores.
