looking to get the flowmaster 40 muffler for my 08 silverado 1500 5.3 liter. a friend of mine has an 01 silverado 1500 4.8 liter and got the muffler but ended up having to return it and buy the whole exhaust system... will i be able to get just the muffler with the stock exhaust system? if so does anybody have any installation pictures? thanks

 

as long as you measure everything out you should be okay. most places, on their websites, ask you info on your truck and they already have all the stock measurements so you should be okay.
