Default front end lift

Just bought a 08 Silverado and as in my 03 the front end sits lower than the back, my 03 I had adjusted (torsion bars?) up but I have heard these new ones you can longer adjust up, they now sell a 1" or 2 and 1 half inch spacer(don't know the details). Guy at work told me that Whitneys sells them for $90. Any one know any thing about this, where to find and how tough to put in???

Thanks, Tim

I just got done putting on a 2" leveling kit by Rev Tech.... In my opinion it's the best out there bc also has spacers for front diff to take the angle off the cv joints. I took it to an alignment shop and paid them $100 to do it just b/c you have to take the struts out and use a coil spring compressor to get the spacers in. Then got them to do the alignment as recommended. So $114 for kit, $100 for install, and $50 for alignment. I used to have a 2000 with torsion bars... heck of alot easier

You can get the kit off ebay for cheap, but as mentioned above, I also recommend taking it to somebody to have it installed, its a pain to do it yourself, and defintaly get an alighnment when its finished.

Most of the kits I see online are either 1.5" lift or 2" lift. What is the better height? I see the Ready Lift 1.5" kit seems to be the safest bet. Any other suggestions?

I got the 2", looked good to me, pretty level. But theres not that much of a diffrence between 1 1/2" and 2", I wouldnt even say a noticable diffrence. When you buy lowering kits, the lowering kits leave the front 2" higher than the back. That leads me to believe that there is a 2" diffrence between the front and rear.
