Front end problem
So I took my 2003 1500 ls 4.8 v8 off roading two days ago, didn't beat on it at all, juat took it on some trails. I nocited that night it was making a grinding noise from the front right axle. I had to go back up to school the next day so I drove about an hour when the ABS light kept going on and off. When I got to my apartment I looked under the truck and the right cv joint was wet, it seemed like it had oil on it. I'm not sure if its a seal or gasket or the whole cv joint and axle that needs to be replaced. Can anyone help out with this?

A grinding noise is never good. Means that mechanical repairs are needed. Check it out before it goes out completely. I would be afraid to take that truck on long trips or any trips.

More so when I turn, I could be mistaken and it could have been a ticking noise. But what about my abs light turning on? I think instead of oil it could be break fluid dripping on it, not sure thought.

Abs light on? Change the hub. Jack the truck up and grab the wheel at 6 and 12 and shake it. If it moves the hub is bad. Check for splits in the cv boots as well

I had the same issue with my 2001. Check your hub first. The grinding may be the bearing. If the wheel does not move, just replace the whole CV axle. You can try to replace the offending part, but its just simplier to replace the whole axle.
