Super simple. I did the same in my 88 k5 blazer. It had a 305 that was TBI with an electric fuel pump. I swaped in a 383 with a mechanical fuel pump, all I did was run the feed and return lines to the mechanical pump. I didn't even take the electric pump out of the tank, the mechanical pump sucks the fuel right through the electric one with no problem. But I also switched to a carburator. I don't know if a mechanical pump will work with a fuel injection system. Also I threw my PCM in the trash, if your going to keep it you can prob just snip the wires at the electric pump.
