I just found out today.That GM sent a buliten out stating that the pre oiled K&N type air filters mess up the MAS on the chevy truck and cars.And in doing so messes with the trans.peticuarly the 2 to 3 shift when you're on it.My truck has done this ever since I put that thing on my truck and I never relised it was that causing it.

 

wow. is this serious? because my dads suburban is having a problem shifting 2-3. hes supercharged, and a k&m filter. you realy think this is the problem?

You Google search it.04-07-03-013B and this came out in '07.Istill can't believe I'm just hearing about it.

 

Funny, I've had a K&N CAI for years now, and this problem has never surfaced

for me.

IMO, somebody's putting way too much oil on the filter...

 

It has been a so-called problem for years and you are correct they are using way too much oil on the filter if that is the problem.
