Hey Guys I have a 1992 1500 with the 4.3L and 112k. I just bought the truck and it has been having some trouble getting the truck to start. When I go to start the truck it just turns over for about 15 seconds and then I stop cranking and crank it again and it starts right up. I have tried numerous things but none seem to make a difference. the truck runs great.when i turn the key on I can hear the fuel pump relay click after about 2 seconds along with another relay near the distributor. I have a feeling that my pump may be bad but before I went to the work to tear it out I wanted your opinions or other things to check.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Try turning it on, but not starting it a couple of times to see if you can get some pressure up in the fuel systembefore trying to start it . The fuel pump should run for a second or two when you turn the ignition switch on and again when you turn it off. Check your fuel filter to see if it's stopped up.

Thanks for your help I got it figured out. It was the fuel pump relay. it would still start once it generated enough oil pressure by cranking the engine but the bad relay didn't kick the pump on till then.
thanks
thanks
