It takes about 5-10 seconds to start the engine. It is much better now that I replaced the Fuel Pressure Regulator.

2001 Silverado4.8 57,000 miles

no engine codes

replaced the following:

fuel filter
fuel pressureregulator
EGR valve
plugs
wires

Anything that I am missing?

fuel pump relay. This could be your problem. If the relay is out, the engine will start, but only after the oil pressure comes up to (I think4 psi) from the engine cranking.
