Default Heater switch

I have a 2000 Silverado and the heater fan switch only works on the 3 4 5 settings and will not work on the 1 2 settings Do I need a new switch or is there something else wrong.

It might be the switch, but it could also be the fan motor resistor.

If the resistor was bad I don't think the fan would run at all...imho...you could always test the resistor with a meter as well as the switch but my money is on a bad switch.
Personal experience...
