What exactly are you worried about with the fuel pressure?

hate to write this here and now but somebody has beeten us to this, in the 80's ford had an in tank fuel pump and carb. they used a pressure regulator that had a built in return line, what was not used to keep the carb at a certain pressure went back to the tank, it has been done several times before on tbi engines and i bet if you did some digging, you can find older threads about it
