Default Hood will not go down after install all parts

I installed all the hinges , brackets and new hood on my silverado, but the hood Sticks straight up in the air...Will not budge at all...Do i need to do something to the springs to get them to move....Already bent new hood trying to install it and hate this thing...Please help!!!!!! thank you so much!!!

did you oil the hinges that should make it easier to go down

Perhaps the hinges are stiff. Did you lubricate and flex them prior to hooking them up to the truck?
