RE: How can i add a sub to my stock system?
Hereare a few pics of my 03' LTExt-Cab. I had a Kicker 400.1 amp and two Kicker 10" subs installed. Circuit City hook up the wiring for me in about 45 minutes. The sub box came from subthump.com. It's a down firing box with two 10" subs and is made forSilverado ext-cabpickups. I have the Bose system with the 6 disk CD and everything hooked up just fine. The stock Bose system lacks that low in punch but now it's killer.

They used an adapter and plugged into the system under the center console before the stock amp. I didn't geta very good look at what the guy did due to their shop rules at Circuit City. If you have a Circuit City near you check them out and they can explain itbetter then I can.Installing a sub or twowill make all the difference in your stock system.

I got a LOC NE-7V from http://www.davidnavone.com/ Shoot him an e-mail-he'll tell you which one you need-mine was only $20 plus shipping. It is very easy to hook up-this is for the Bose system I have-If you are adding an amp for a sub then you can get the wires going under the storage tray of the center console on the pasenger side going forward to the bose subs. They are wrapped in tape. The wires you need left and right side are twisted pairs and they have a blue/blk stripe and a green/ blk stripe in each pair that are the negative speaker wires of each sub.
As far as a full range signal before the amp you cant get one without a specific loc designed for this system
If you don't have Bose, then just pull the signal from your rear speakers.
