How do I put in aftermarket head unit in a 93 silverado?
I am confused. There is a stereo/factory amp down by the accelerator pedal. There is a bracket with 3 bolts holding it in place. It has 2 small harnesses connecting to it on the bottom, and on top, there is a bigger wiring harness and a place where the antenna plugs in.
I tore apart my dash board tp get the radio out and discovered that the factory radio has no harness on the back and the wires just go straight into the radio. This must mean that the radio on the dash is just a "remote" and it is plugged in down under by the accelerator where that stereo/factory amp is at?
I want to get an aftermarket head unit and I am also confused on the wiring part. I already bought a dash kit adapter to fit the hole where the cassette player is at, and I bought the wiring harness. I havent bothered to see if there is instructions... could you tell me the wiring process? I have some sort of idea but I am not sure.
