Hi CoffeyLover,

How are you doing today?

I originally hated my programmer because it didn't give the expected performance promised. I thought "Ah sh%&, another 369$ down the toilet".

But since, I've come to love the other features which I would have never bought it for originally.

It reads and clears trouble codes,
It resets my vehicle parameters,
And it gives me real-time injection mapping data thru my OBDII thru my programmer to my laptop with downloadable programs and an adapter cable(Sold separately.)

It's been a real blessing in disguise.

The quantity of features really is nice.

Although, I have been talking to Justin over at Black Bear Performance, and might consider ordering a custom tune for my truck. They seem to be all the rave with these 4.8L Vortecs.

Yeah dude,

Justin will hook you up. Just be sure to give him all your mods, bolt ons , and any other changes since OEM for a optimum tune.

I am definitely considering it. I have emailed him a few questions, his answers will tell me whether or no I'm going to do it.

Nothing but problems

I ordered the Hypertech programmer and got it the next day. Great right? Wrong! Uploading the program was going ok at first I made it to 81% and it read an error code and to call tech support. They said there was electronic interference witch I quickly rectified. The next up load went fine until the program writing process. It only wrote half the program. Now my truck won't run at all. I called Hypertech they said I need to have my ecu flashed back to factory . So not only am I out for their programmer but now I have to pay the dealer to flash my ecu. If you are going to buy any hypertech products DON'T they do not stand behind them. You will end up with nothing but frustration and aggravation.

I would need the serial number and part number to look the situation up but when it gets interrupted during the programming process it will attempt to recover and take you back to stock. If you have aftermarket accessories and it sounds like you do, you must pull the fuses before programming
