Hey I have a 2006 chevy Silverado and the bowtie in the front is a little bit messed up on the inside. looks like the gold part is coming apart so I want to black it out but don't know how. I saw a video on how to do it on the back of a vehicle but like I said, I want to do it on the front... with the grill. which is my problem. I don't know how to do it with the grill on the sides. plus if there is a way to black out only the gold part and keep the silver outline if that's possible. please help if you can.
thanks.
thanks.

No, run the blade in the groove or if you want to make your life easier the emblem is only snapped in. Take grill out or if you can get your hand in there just push the two little tabs in and the emblem will pop out. Not a hard thing to do and lightly sand and paint.

I did the same thing w/ my Silverado. Made it white to match rest of truck. I found a website that manufactures high quality exterior stickers and have most colors. They have specs for all make and models. They last quite a while, mine is 6 years old and still looks new. Can't remember site name, but Google colored chevy bowtie emblems. Should get you there. Easy to apply w/o removing emblem.
