Just bought a 19998 Z71 few questions.
I just bought this 1998 Z71. It seems to run awesome lifted 6 inches with a expensive lift. (so the dude said) i got it for a steal. What should i do first off maintenance wise to ensure the longevity of the truck? of course oil change but what other measures should i consider doing to ensure the life of the truck? It has 183,000 and the owner has no idea if original motor or tranny. Kinda weary about tranny cause i just sold a 1997 Z71 which i changed tranny a 105,000. PLEASE GIVE ANY INPUT YOU MAY HAVE. Thanks

I would change all the fluids. Remember to follow the manual/dealer's recommendations since you more than likely have lockers on the rear differential and they usually require a synthetic lube. You more than likely need to change the power-steering and brake fluid as well. If the power-steering fluid is anything but red then you more than likely need to change it. If the brake fluid is anything but clear then change it. Adhere to the usual maintenance such as changing spark plugs, spark plug wires, etc.
