Default k1500 computer reprogram for bigger tires?

i bought a set of new tires that bigger than stock. can you program the computer for the larger tires for odometer and speedometer? i think its possible but i wasnt sure?

to be honest inless you go from a 30" tire to a 40" tire..theres almost no difference.. i went from a 31" to a 35" barely any difffernce..

sorry the truck is a 98, i have 245/75/16 on im going to 285/75/16

older trucks you can replace the gear on the end of the speedo cable with one of a different size to correct the speedo. some newer trucks you can electronically recalibrate the speedo not sure of the specifics when it comes to Chevy. most trucks are calibrated from the factory to read a little faster than you are actually going so 1 or two sizes up normally does not make a big difference. also remember its a ratio so although your speedo may only be off 2mph at 25 it might be off by 10 at 55. my 89 Toyota is pretty close around town but i was shocked when i got pulled over with my speedo reading 65 in a 65mph zone the cop told me i was doing 78.
