leveling kit
can someone give me some basic info on a leveling kit? dont' know much about em. are they all the same size? i read about someone adding a 2" leveling kit to the front end of a 2007 sliverado new body style, which is the truck i have. is the front end really 2" below the rear stock?
i have a stock 2007 nbs silverado z71 ltz 4x4 with 265/65/18s. i'd like to put a little bigger tire. would the leveling kit allow me to do that? if so, what size can you put?
thanks,

typically leveling kits come with new torsion bar keys that will allow you to raise the front end without affecting ride and without messing up alignment too bad. still a good idea to have alignment checked afterwards tho.

with your new truck you won't use torsion keys. It'll be the coil spring spacers. A 2.5 inch kit will put it to where you are gonna need a 3 inch block in the back but you'll be able to fit 33x12.5s under neath it

i measured my front end and back end this moring and the front was almost exaclty 2 inches lower than the back. if i put a 2 inch leveling kit on the front to level it why would i put a 3 inch block in the back? wouldn't that just raise it back up out of level again?

It says its a 2 inch levelin kit but i don't think it really is... we put the 2.5 inch kit on my dads(07 nnbs vortec max 4x4 )cause thats what it said it sat since we put a 2 inch block in the back for towin instead of the 1.5 inch that was stock back there. The 2.5 inch kit was to level it out but it actually made the front end sit higher than the back so we had to put a bigger block and since its 4wd we just went ahead and put 33x12.5x20s on it for the looks. But then again it might just lift it 2 inches. We never measured the front after everything but it seems like it towers over other trucks of that same body style when all we did was do a leveling kit
