Default Lift Kit Question

Hey,

Hey I just got a 1998 Chevy Silverado extended cab truck as a graduation present. It is a 2 wheel drive and is in great condition. I was wanting to lift it after I get some graduation money and was wondering what lifts were available for a '98 Silverado in 2 wheel drive. I would prefer a suspension lift/spindle lift, but seeing as that may be too much money I may go with the coil spacers. I would like to lift the whole truck evenly, and not just the front. Also, does anyone have any info about the spacers? (ie. how it handles, if i need new shocks, etc.)? Thanks!

Thomas

First thing to ask is, what's your budget?

on here people ask how do i lower my 4wd and others ask how do i lift my 2wd. This does not make sense what will you gain from lifting a 2wd? I can see leveling it it looks great. But lifting is for better clearence for offroading and normaly when we offroad we have 4wd. I mean if your just going for looks thats great im not discouraging you im just asking why? Get K&N CAI, OR fender flares for bigger tires. Im just saying kid save your money for college youll need it lif kits are expensive!!

Not sure about the budget yet...will know more about that after the 17th once I get some graduation money. I won't be doing a lot of off-roading....just mainly going for the look....if I did off road I'd probably lift it and throw a locker in the back....but I'm just wanting to lift it a little just for looks.

answered prayer!! haha that's awesome dude....if you can hold on to that kit until about mid-May that would be great....i've gotta wait and see what money i get for graduation....but ill talk it over with my parents and if you can hold on to it for that long then i'll most likely buy it from you. do you know about what size tires i can run with the lift on? 33's maybe?? the tires on it now are the stock size...and if i got a lift i didn't know if it would look weird with stock tires or not
