Hello, I have a 2007 silverado 1500. I use the truck for a dd and pullin a 20ft car trailer. I am lookin to put a functioning ram air hood on it. I was wonderin if there is a way to convet it where it would function. The reason I want to do this is to get more airflow to help pullin. Thank you, for all the help yall can provide.

Just put a cold air kit on it...less hassel and less expense. With a functional hood you'll have to plum the intake air and you'll open up a whole can of worms...IMHO

That was my thing the plumbing. I didnt know if any one had made a kit to do it. Really didnt want to convert it to tbi and take a few steps back on the inefficiency of it.

There is one listing for a ram air hood on ebay, the hood itself is like $800 and the functional kit is like $300 more, Ive been thinking about it myself. I wish they made a functional shaker hood.
