Maintenance Question on 2005 Z71
Hey guys. New to the forum here. Need some advice.
I have a 2005 Silverado Ext Cab Z71 with 5.3. I have 130,000 miles on the vehicle. Need an oil change and wondering if I should move to a synthetic oil and if so, what kind. Also, is there any type of engine conditioner I should add to help clean up the engine. Also need to change plugs and wires. Any suggestions on what plugs and wires I should use. Would like to improve my mileage.
Thanks

I don't see a problem with switching to syn, but today's regular oil is pretty good any more. I'm not big on conditioners. Some synthetics are known to have more cleaning additives so if you after clean maybe syn is worth it.
If you want to read about oil opinions their are tons of them here...

run sea foam through the intake, gas tank, and crankcase. mdtahoe might know more about the engine flush. i've heard to stick with delco plugs. i've heard that ngk plugs are good as well. as far was wires go. im no help. probably 8.5 mm wire if you're not looking for high conduction wires probably any wire from your auto parts store will do. but stay away from autolite.
