I have a 97 Silverado 3500 4x4 and recently it's developed a misfire issue. Starting up cold it runs fine but after a 30 mile trip when I restart the truck it has a miss. During the 30 mile trip home it progressively gets worse. I recently overhauled the fuel system fuel pump, pressure regulator, new injectors and fuel filter. It seems ignition related based on the timing of of the miss. It is time for a tuneup and I'm curious if it is possible for a plug wire to separate once it's warm enough? The egr is not that old so I'm not incredibly suspect there. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
