Default More power from a 305....

I have 1 92 C1500 with a 305 in it. 140,000 miles. I dont plan on having the engine rebuilt soon. It does not use oil, or leak any for that matter. Busts right off, runs smooth. It does have a leak at the front of the intake of antifreeze. When I go to fix this, I want to put a different intake on it, maybe an Edelbrock or something similar. I want to keep my throttle body. What do I need to look for in an intake? Is it possible to ruin a camshaft with too much intake? Will I get more power?
