I have a 94 silverado. I've been cleaning under the car with a paint scraper .. I don't how to start to paint my car.. I removed most of the dirt or paint idk lol but there are some rusty areas. I watched some vid on youtube on how to remove rust and such.. I'm thinking of spraying the frame with white vinegar then remove rust with sandpaper.. I think i can spray primer after rust is removed and then paint?

I'm not planning on removing the bed till i get everything cleaned for paint as i don't have hoist

 

Not sure what you are asking but I have used a product called POR 15 and it works great. They make a claener as well but basically you need to remove dirt and "flakey" rust and brush it on and it bonds to the rust. You do need to topcoat it as it is not UV resistant.

 

I'm going to use sandpaper to remove rust and old paint.. does that work?

how soon should i apply primer after rust and paint is removed?
