On the way up I got 14.9mpg on premium. On the way home towing my 12 ft v nose enclosed trailer W/ both my sleds I got 9.2mpg w/ premium. It towed nice and the more I drive it the better it gets.

Looks good. I got a 2012 back in late August, absolutely love it. I have the 5.3 and I averaged 18.6 on a recent road trip (passengers + luggage), which can easily be in the 20's while unloaded. Around town I typically see no less than 17 MPG.

this is the exact truck I want, except no dealer around me has one to test drive, with the 6.2 liter you can get 3.73 gear ratio, with the 5.3 you can only get the 3.23 which is terrible for towing, how's the power on that baby compared to the 5.3?

Thanks for all the comment's guys. Ya if you don't mind paying for premium and bad gpm the 6.2 is the way to go. I love the 3.73 and the 6.2's tork. My truck previous to this was a lifted heavily moded Sonoma ZR2 W/ a 350 LQ31 350HP W/ 4:10 gears, and this silverado blows the doors off my Sonoma. I cant compare the 5.3 to the 6.2 because I've never driven one W/ the 5.3 but I bet it is night and day. Towing wise it handled perfectly. My trailer weighs 4200lbs and it had 2 snowmobiles in it and it towed nice. I could tell there was a trailer back there but when you needed it the 6.2 and gears moved me right along W/ ease. My best recomendation is if you are driving it everyday get the 5.3 but if you are only using it for trips, towing and hauling get the 6.2. My everyday driver is 98 Saturn SL2 W/ 285,000 miles on it that gets 36mpg.

Got some new pic's for ya. Got my cap and the decals removed. The rack for the most part stays off and only used when I need the extra room. Also some pis w/ the trailer. I'm up to 3000 miles now my gas milage has actually decreased. Still using premium 93. Everyday driving I have dropped to 13mpg and my last recent trip hauling the trailer and snowmobiles I got 8mpg.

Dont' mean to hijack the thread, but is that a bug deflector on the front of the hood? Hard to tell with the black on black. I had a WeatherTech one that caused the windflow over the cab to catch the lip above the windshield and it made a very irritating wind howl. Does yours do the same thing?

No howel. That is the GM version of the bug deflector. I had it insatlled at the dealer. Plus I think it looks better than the weathertech one. As far as the side window visors I like the weathertech better than the GM dealer installed ones.
