Just an update, I did eventually replace the radio on this truck, speakers also. I have done of lot long needed maintenance issues over the last year and now this truck is a GREAT daily driver and should last a LONG time. The hood light was the cause of the battery drain, as I have not had the problem again (well, until my battery crapped out about a month ago).
