new to chevy
Hello everyone, I am new to owning a chevy and last week i purchased a 1993 chevy 1500 with the 4.3 v-6. The truck has 124000 miles on it and has just had the top end rebuilt, newly machined heads, push rods, and that sort of thing. I bought the truck to drive back and forth to powerline school for the next four months and also to give to my dad. My question is, what do i need to look for to ensure that the truck is running well enough to make the trip, 500 miles per week? The truck seems to run very well and the air works great, any information as far as what to look for will be appreciated.

I'd really keep an ear on those inserts.
95% of the time when the top end is tightened up, the bottom end soon blows due to the extra pressure. Can't tell ya how many times I've ran into this and it's ALWAYS on high mileage engines.
