Default New Michelin Tires

I got my four new Michelin tires mounted today (X-Radial LT2 in 265/70R17 size). Doggone things were expensive, but Costco had a rebate on them and they have a 70,000-mile warranty.

I can run the tires until the truck falls off, I guess.

It was raining very hard here tonight, so I figured it would be a great chance to see how well they handled the rain. I was impressed! No hydroplaning at all and they are just as smooth & quiet as the Goodyears that they replaced. Now I will have to see if I get any better fuel mileage (doubtful) and if they'll handle snow (which we probably won't get any more of this season). My truck is 2wd, so it resembles a duck on ice whenever we get any more than one inch of the white stuff.

P.S. Next thing on my list is possibly a new set of shock absorbers.
